Śūnyata in the Lotus Sūtra

Autora: Carmen Dragonetti

The Lotus Sūtra can be considered from several points of view. The Lotus Sūtra is a foremost religious book. Its central teaching is the possibility for all living beings to achieve Supreme Perfect Enlightenment, i.e. to become a Buddha. Even Devadatta who attempted against Buddha’s life can reach that state. The Sūtra shows also the way to attain the supreme goal of Buddhahood, the discipline to which one has to submit: the sevre bodhisattvacaryā.
